Fall re-cap!

Having not blogged for quite some time, I now have a lot to say! So much as gone on and without having a camera.. I havent felt I've been BLOG worthy. Who reads the words anyway? Aren't we really just skimming through the pictures?
So I am stealing picture from my fellow bloggers and finally catching myself up. Since this will one day be printed and passed down from generation to generation (right!!??) I better get on it.

I skipped right over Dyson turning 11 in Aug. YES I said 11! I didn't feel old until about 3 days after this event. Dyson's b-day was of course a family get together with cake, presents and icecream! Hooray Dyson. (Thanksgiving just having past I'd like to say a little bit about me being thankful for this kid) AHEM... Dyson is the best. Dyson is sweet! I love how this kids is so tender and kind to children younger then him. His younger cousins follow him around and think he is totally cool, to which I 100% percent agree! The other day while at my grandmas house the kids were eating icecream cones. I told Dyson all the kids had to stay in the kitchen off the carpet to eat, Dyson very quickly said "I'm not a kid, I'm a tween." What the??? I have a tween? Oh man! I just love his quick wittedness and his sense of humor. I love how passionate he gets about things! He is such a blessing to Lynn and I and I can't imagine my life without him! He is so fun to hang out with, I hope when he becomes more then a "tween" that we can still be friends and hang out. Love you buddy!

I took the kids to Portland the first week in October, it was Colby's first time visting his uncles and new aunt. He never wanted to go before 'cause he thought it would take too long to get there. He changed his mind real soon and can't wait to go back! We had a great time and did very fall'ish things... like corn mazes and pumpkin patches (it dosen't get anymore FALL then that..) We were treated to a great time by the Portland crew, thanks so much for the invitation!

Halloween... yep, I skipped right over that as well. I stole this pic from Annie's blog. Dyson was WWE wrestler Jeff Hardy and Colby was a Ninja lord. We had dinner at Randy and Annie's and made a killing from all the houses we hit! I wish I had my camera to capture Scott scaring the crap out of all the little kids that DARED to go knock on his door and my grandma Griffin dressing up like a gypsie! Great halloween!

Hank and Max were so cute! Love those boys!

Lets just skip all the way to Thanksgiving. Randy and Annie hosted this year and it was fabulous! The Portland gang (which consists of Rusty, Collette and Rick) came down to join us. Holidays just arent the same without the whole family here. I am so greatful to be so close with my siblings.. and "we love each other very much" I have a lot of things to be grateful for. Without my family a.k.a. my support system, I would have lost it years ago! We played lots of Rockband and laughed a lot. All in all I would say it was the best Thanksgiving ever! (not even a lie)

Colby turned 8. oh my heck! my BABY is 8. He had the best birthday ever! He is really into art, drawing and board games and GUESS what? He got so many great things... this kid will be busy for at least 6 months! He even turned a friend away that was at the door becuase he wanted to DRAW!!! (my thankful moment for Colbs) I just can't stand the thought of him getting older. I want him to stay my sweet huggy baby forever! Colby is totally cool. I love the passion he has for art. It's so funny how different my kids are. Dyson would rather play or watch sports..Colby would rather draw or learn a magic trick. I love Colby's sense of style when he dresses himself I just smile! He dosen't care. I know that will change with the older he gets... but for now I love it. I love that He will wear shorts and cowboy boots to the store and not feel one bit embarrassed. I love that he always has a hug for me and tells me how much he loves me. Like any other mother... I hope and pray that when he is past his "tween" years we can still hang out and be friends. ( I love you Colbs!)
With Colby turning 8, he went to his first Scout meeting (thanks Amy and Josh) and he LOVED it because they "drew Christmas cards for old people" his exact words. He loves to draw so he can't wait to go back and do all the other fun things that come with scouting. This Saturday he will be getting Baptized by grandpa Scott. (thanks Scott)

Which now leads me to the end of this SHORT re-cap. My HUBS. Lynn has been practicing (as my neighbors can atest too) with his band "small town trap" for the last year. I love that he is so passionate about it. He is self taught on the bass and I think he does a fantastic job! They are playing their first show in the next few weeks! Come support him! Club Vegas Dec 18th. I am proud of Lynn and all the hard work he has done. What a great example for our kids.. follow your dreams, have a hobby and be passionate about it, even when in your 30's! Thanks for being a hard worker and loving me (almost 12 years of marriage) and our kids! Your the best!

I WILL post about Colby's baptism and if I remember anything else that has happened... I'm sure your DYING to know!

Wow...now that's a recap! Who says you need a camera when you can take pics off my blog? I almost shed a tear when you said this Thanksgiving was the best ever. Thanks man and I can't wait for Lynn's debut! You know we'll be there. I bet Lynn can get more than 20 people at his concert!

Apparently Annie and I have been anxiously awaiting a new blog, since we are commenting within minutes of each other. These photos were almost as great as if you would have taken them yourself. Keep up the good blogging work!

Hey! Good to see you joining the blogging world again! I'm so happy that Colby liked scouts. Will said they had a really fun time on Tuesday. Next week, they are singing Christmas carols to the said "old people." :) I can't wait for Coleman to join the group.

And I can attest to the hard work Lynn has been putting in. It's like Sunday background music to our football games and inappropriate yelling at the TV. Ah, Sundays...

I love the vision I get when I think of Colby walking through the store with shorts and cowboy boots! All of the pics of all of the boys are just too cute! Dyson is looking so grown up! I hope you post a picture when Colby wears his new vest and tie!!
