Roadtrip!

My dear grandpa Griffin turned 80 on March 9th. To celebrate this milestone my grandma invited us all to their "snow bird" haven in Parker Arizona. There were 88 family members there! Because the drive is 11 hours, we spilt the first day up and spent the night in Vegas. We meet Randy, Annie and boys, Rusty and Collette there and caravaned down the next day.
My camera died after a few hours so I didn't get too many pictures....

Walking the strip at 10 in the morning.. less porn on the sidewalk.

The boys found pennies on the sidewalk , and made wishes. Dysons wish? That Jeff Hardy would return to the WWE. Nope this kid doesn't want a million dollars!

On the Tram from the Mirage to TI.

Fish tanks at Caesars palace.

The Beatles exhibit at the Mirage

The fab six?

Colby getting caught in the Revolution lounge.. naughty!

The boys weren't as excited about the sights and sounds of Vegas like we thought they would be. My first time through Vegas my jaw was hanging open.. oh well! They had fun and we had fun as a family. I don't think we will be making it a family vacation spot however.

After Vegas we got back on the road towards Emerald Cove.. 3.5 hours southwest of Vegas, Annie got a flat tire. Thanks goodness for three strong men.... 47 minutes later.
The kids found rocks to throw and glass to break while on our flat tire detour.

Randy, Annie, Hank, Max, Lynn, Me, Dyson, Colby Dad and Karen shared a trailer.
SLEEPOVER 2010!

Rusty found some little followers to help him look for rocks to make a fire pit.

This is my grandma and Aunt Susan.. this is just a snapshot of some food distribution chaos!
I love my granny... bless her heart!
I will end this blog with the best picture of the trip! My four favorite boys playing on the beach of the Colorado River! They had a great time!

A few things...Sleepover 2010 was a total party. Dyson is the best babysitter ever, and your grandma is my hero! She is one of the most amazing people I've ever met. Is it funny you don't have a pic of your Grandpa on his birthday? Oh yeah, and why do I look 9 months pregnant in that picture of the guys changing the tire?

Wow you and Annie are sure making me look bad for not blogging about this (or anything really) for the last few months. Love the picture of food distribution chaos! I laughed a lot during that time. Also, I am sad that I wasn't a part of Sleepover 2010 trailer because I was in the Sleepless motor home. Had so much fun hanging out with all the Griffins!

Sleepover 2010 was the coolest! I know I am so mad at myself for NOT bringing my battery charger. It died before you guys got back from golfing. So sadly, no pics of gramps! Don't you love how detailed my blog is.. I might refer people to read yours Annie. I was tired after uploading these pics!

So...I LOVE the boys in Vegas. Colby sneaking into the "lounge" and the fab 6 Rule. I love them and I love Vegas, so basically, I love all of those pics! I also would have paid to been a fly on the wall in the sleepover room. That pic is priceless! I kinda wish I was on this trip! Happy Bday Gramps!
