Sewing 101

It's true. I'm trying yet ANOTHER hobby. This time sewing. I saw a cute "easy" pattern for a dress. so I bought it and the fabric to go with it. I go home, was all gung ho... then I realize I CAN'T SEW! I had to call for re-enforcements....grandma! She was such a sport about it and stay till the job was done. It was fun hanging out with her and learning her mad skills.
So the dress didn't turn out like the picture....so I tried to hide it. Finally I was called out at Dyson's bday party to model it.



This was a red and white shirt that I tired to make without grandmas help. It wasn't even close to fitting! It was suppose to pull over my head, it didn't. SO I thought I would cut it down the middle and make it a button up. yahhh... that didn't work either. Like so far off if caused quite the laugh!

The dress... it's not too bad. The back is what makes it so I'll never wear it anywhere. Lynn hates the pattern on the dress and the colors. It is rather funky!

This is my sewing station. Scott also gave me this sewing cabinet. It looks really cute in my office. I think it's safe to say I have my own hobby room!
