This is Zombie Colby and Soccer Dyson before school today. Colby's make-up wasn't this clownish.. it just looks that way with the flash. Dyson couldn't decide what to be, I told the kids this year was "home made" costume year. They could spend $10 on make-up or props. Colby LOVED the homemade costume idea and said "this is way funner then buying one, it's not like I could BUY a REAL zombie costume" I was grateful for his enthusiasm.
The cousins... well the Griffin side of the cousins. We didn't see Ajay, Brady, Copper, Bella or Mason this year... did we last year? I can't remember. This was PRE trick or treating, the sugar high had NOT kicked in yet... or had it? Isn't Mino a cute bee? 
One house down 200 to go. I have never seen the kids get so much candy, and we didn't even trick or treat our side of the hood... I can't even imagine how heavy there bags would have been if we would have done that! p.s. the black masked tot is Hank.. he would take off the mask then put it back on, I think he did that maybe 15 times.
The last house of the night.. (after Ralph and Susan's... Ralph did manage to scare the poop right out of Colby, nice scary pirate mask there Ralph... or Roger) Was Great Grandma Griffins. Okay, now she used to dress up every year like a witch, she hasn't don that the past few years, but she did something even better this year to scare my kids. See Colby snuggled up with his eyes closed? We are listening to the OLD version of the legend of sleepy hollow, with the spooky voices and crazy sounds. We were told to close our eyes and imagine the story. Towards the end of the story Colby said "grandma this is making my heart beat really fast" On the way to our car after leaving Colby thought he saw something in the bushes and heard a scary noise... great! I'm sure Dyson was scared too, he's just too cool to admit it. I bet in the morning when i wake up they will be in the same bed!
My kids had fun, they love Halloween and I love to see them so excited! Dyson already said "only 365 more days to go" oh goody!

I'm glad Ralph got a good scare in. I'll have to have him send me a pic. Colby is so funny--his little comments always make me laugh.
Have your kids come off their sugar high yet? Tell Dyson I have ten more Frankenstein rice krispie treats--he was the only one who liked them last night!
